Art and the Montana outdoors are my life!

My name is Jamie Howard and I personally create every art piece sold in my shop. I was born and raised in Northwestern Montana. I grew up playing in the dirt, and fly fishing in mountain lakes and creeks. I love rodeos, hiking and cruising the back roads. Making art and enjoying all that the great Montana outdoors has to offer are my greatest passions in life.

I graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and Art Education. My love for making art has always been a driving force in my life, whether it is painting, photography, sculpture or woodworking. My woodworking journey began when I crafted a carved wooden rocking bear for my great-nephew's first birthday. I aimed to create a distinctive piece that could serve as a cherished heirloom, one that he could eventually pass down to his children. I enjoyed working with wood so much that I continued to explore new projects and techniques, each one a testament to my growing passion and skill. From intricately carved rocking animals to barnwood signs, I found immense joy in shaping raw materials into works of art that were both beautiful and functional.

As my confidence grew, I began to take on more challenging endeavors, experimenting with different types of wood and finishes to bring my creative visions to life. The rich textures and natural grains of the wood inspired me to blend my artistic background with practical craftsmanship, resulting in pieces that told their own stories. I continually strive to come up with new creations that are fun and unique, something the world has never seen before.
